A few new pieces...

This is my latest LO....it's taken me all week to decide on the title pieces...the chippie font I had planned for 'Journey' was missing the 'e'...wasn't happy for a full mixed font this time....had a play with my flocking...finally....covered 'Journey' in brown flocking powder and also flocked the birds....YES you did read correctly...I succumbed to birds after all this time....but I'll just say that these took my fancy for the reason that they have the 'real' look rather than the comical/arty look...Thanks to Miss for the Dymo font...lost mine somewhere amongst 'puter changes...

These are the pics I did for one of the Teachers...I did her a Dragonfly last year as a Life cycle pic but unfortunately 'someone' decided that they would keep it, and took it from the room....so these are the replacements....I also did a green ant but it's not nearly as nice as these...lets face it they aren't the nicest of insects....all of these are hand drawn and outlined in marker and coloured with water colours and my H2O pen...got me itching to do some more butterflies for LO's....

Josh and Jarrod are 40 weeks apart...yes if you calculate it, my dates were worked from the Day Josh was born...made for funny comments on Christening cards...Great mates..

I wish I'd done more than this...

This is all I have produced since my last post...shameful I know..................................although I think I do have another that I haven't put up....will have to go looking...anyway...this is another challenge from Deb's...this time set by Mandy...'1. Negative space.2. White cardstock as base...any shape...3. Brights...lots of them...greens, reds, blues...whatever...just BRIGHT4. At least 1 hand made embellishment...5. Only 1 photo of any size...'....I altered the tree charm by wrapping red wire around it and colouring the star with a lime green sharpie and adding glitz....a bit of paint to the back of the vellum word block with some added glitz there as well......ok off to find the other LO....could be back soon...LOL

A Challenge and a finished LO...

This is from a Challenge by ChrisW on Deb's...."multi layering, must have distressing, must have stitching or lacing, must have a handwritten journalling tag"....used DCWV Garden Party PP, hessian, machine stitching, hand cutting, flowers, bling, pearls, glitz, cork sheeting, stamping and a lace doily...I must say though...not too impressed with Picassa....the pictures are crystal clear from the camera to the puter...but once editing size it blurs....will have to seriously get my other editing programs onto this puter...

This is a LO I started over Easter..tried to keep it quick and simple...used lids and containers to stamp the circles and some excess brads and eyelets to replicate the PP.... DMed chippie letters..
